    I like a new, clean sponge, but I wouldn't call it excitement. I wish sponges were rectangular. The last ones I got had scalloped edges. Yours has non-rectangular shape too.

    The only rectangular sponges I have seen from 3M have a really aggressive backside that will scratch anything—it's like sandpaper.
