I just happened to think…

It’s odd. Every still photograph I’ve ever seen from the American Civil War era is black and white, but every movie about that time is in color.

  1. Yeah it's pretty amazing how they do that :)

Mick and I were talking about that convertible you had way back when. We couldn't remember the make or much else about it. If you get a chance to blog about it, we'd be able to sleep at night again...

  2. I had two convertibles. The first was an Austin Healy Sprite, the
    bug-eyed version, a 1960 model. The second was a Porsche 914, 1972. It
was the best. I got a traffic ticket doing 105 miles per hour heading
for Fresno when I woke up late and was one of the organizers of a
surprise birthday party and had to get there. Even after getting the
    ticket, I was on time.

  4. Susan, I had to go to my Aussie slang dictionary (which you gave us in 1999) to see that hoon means one who is what we would call a scofflaw who drives fast and/or recklessly. (There are other meanings for hoon, but I won’t go there.)
