I ran across this one in the Los Angeles Times today. It happened near a school in North Carolina. This is a pre-signage mock-up that will be made permanent once it’s approved. I hope the approver can spell. If you pronounce the word SHCOOL as it’s spelled, it sounds like you’re inebriated. So maybe the notice was for drunk drivers. Give the road crew credit for creativity!It reminds me of what happened a few years ago here in Central California when a road signage crew laid out the stencils to paint the word SLOW on the road, but inverted the W. Drivers had to SLOM until they corrected their mistake.
