An artist friend of mine once told me, “Collect enough of anything and you can make something interesting out of it.” Another friend volunteers at a recycling center and for years saved wine corks for me. I am now the proud owner of several cubic feet of corks, but still haven’t figured out what to do with them.
Can you guess what this obelisk in Santa Rosa, California is made of? Go

I tried to collect corks for a craft project and never got more than two at a time before I'd get frustrated and toss them.
Your link gave me a 404 error. Could you tell us in the comments what material was used?
Calandreya, sorry the link didn’t work. I have fixed it. Try again.
Interesting work from that artist. I'm not sure how I feel about it, though. I think I'm too practical, in some ways, to be a good judge or artistic endeavors. I look at that and see wasted opportunities. Plus, that placement really is a statement, and one I don't like. I'm glad you shared this, though. Thank you!
