Dang! It’s really getting to me. I makes me want to start making things up and not even using pictures.

So many subjects…
I have a ton of ideas for blogs, but I always like to accompany them with pictures. It seems that whenever I go to take a picture, the light is crummy, or the tadpoles run and hide, or the huge colorful spider dashes off to the hidden corners of his/her web, or some other thing. Like when the horses were engaged in their version of Swan Lake, the ballet, over by the corral, I didn’t even have a camera with me. Imagine! Huge horses and even huger mules twirling on their tippy-toes! Stunning. And when the squirrels and the rattlesnake were sitting on a flat rock playing poker, once again—no camera. (The snake appeared to be winning by a huge margin, by the way. Unless those “chips” in front of him were actually squirrel turds.)

Hi Tom; Is it REALLY HOT down there??....just wondering.....
Strange how that is with the camera.. or lack of. Have missed you by the way (yes I know you have a FULL load). David is in California doing a kid to kid to kid visit, enjoying it I know. A
Daffy—You wouldn’t be hinting at anything, would you?
Neta—We sure could use some of your old chickens here. The grasshoppers around here are so thick you have to wear rubber waders as you walk through the grass, then get home and scrape off the little smashed bodies. I wish I could find my camera; I could blog about it.
It's probably the heat and the hard work. Who can remember to carry a camera in those conditions?
Maybe in winter you'll catch the rarely beheld Pied Butcher Bird in snowy plumage silently eating frozen, smashed grasshoppers leftover from the summer....oh, wait. That only happens in Australia.
Still, there's always hope.
Forget the pictures; where are the hi-def videos?
Like today when I opened the door to put Ben down for a nap, and a rubber boa fell right in front of me onto the floor? At least it was a RB and not a snattlerake. No camera, of course.
I just remembered that the limited bandwidth in your area nixes the videos.
