Babe gets snuggy

In spite of ghastly lighting conditions, I went ahead and took pictures of Babe’s new blanky. We have waited almost a month for it to arrive, custom-made by an outfit in Arizona that makes nice protective covers for pianos. It’s maroon crushed velvet, underlain with a Naugahyde-like waterproof layer, with a non-marring soft felt that will touch Babe’s delicate ebony skin. Who could ask for more? Her gold-embroidered name and Steinway’s lyre logo make it extra special. Are we to be accused of pampering?

Guilty as charged.

I've never heard a more enticing description for ....well;...anything...I'll take ten !! Does that piano know how LUCKY it is??

Pete S.: It's an okay floor, Brazilian cherry. Do they really have cherries in Brazil? The little red thing to the right of the piano is the felt cover on its soft pedal. I think Ben tore it off.

Daffy, you're an easy sell. I used to work at an advertising agency. I could have done better with the description about the blanky on Babe's lovely body, but I'm out of the ad-writing mode. I could have made it gushier, like saying the underlaying felt will sensuously caress Babe's delicate ebony skin, instead of touch Babe's delicate ebony skin. Thanks anyway.
