Fixing a pipe

Here’s how you fix a leaky coupling. First discover where it is. Then cut it out. Then push on a new repair coupling. Finally, fake a smile for a job well done!

Ouch! Looks like that hurt.

Is that all dead, pig-grubbed grass behind you in your victory picture?

You betcha. It’s piled up a foot deep.

That’s quite a challenging repair because you had to locate the leaky pipe that is planted in the soil. Tip: don’t place the pipes in the ground too deep because you will have to do a lot of digging to get to the pipes the next time you need to repair or check anything.

Good job sir! You must have learned a lot about house repairs when you were younger. It's great that you were able to see where the damage was.

“Finally, fake a smile for a job well done!” – LOL! I love this bit! =D I guess this is what’s left to do after a tiring day of plumbing works. Well, there are different types of PVC repair couplings that you can choose. But one type requires no cutting and sets up fast, which I would highly recommend.
